適用范圍：This British Standard makes recommendations for and gives guidance on healthand safety practices in shaft sinking and tunnel construction.The standard includes health and safety recommendations that are also relevantto cut-and-cover tunnelling, immersed tube tunnels and other forms ofunderground construction as well as to the maintenance, renovation and repairof shafts and tunnels. The recommendations are not intended to apply to theconstruction of shafts or tunnels for the purpose of mineral extraction.NOTE 1 The design, manufacture and use of plant and machinery are referred toonly where safety considerations are affected. Various European Standards relatingto the design of tunnel boring machines (TBMs) are currently under revision.NOTE 2 Current legislation relating to occupational health and safety can be foundat www.hse.gov.uk.
