適用范圍：This PAS provides recommendations and guidance forthe implementation of a biometric system. In particular,it provides recommendations and guidance on:a) assessing the need for a recognition system(see Clause 3);b) determining the type of recognition system to use(see Clause 4);c) planning for the implementation of a biometricsystem (see Clause 5);d) acceptance testing a biometric system(see Clause 6); ande) operating a biometric system (see Clause 7).This PAS focuses on the specific aspects related toinclusion of a biometric system at the core of arecognition system where the recognition of peopleis an important requirement of an application.This PAS is applicable across a wide range ofapplications that incorporate a biometric system.However, it is mainly directed at small- and mediumsizedself?contained systems, typically thoseimplemented by commercial organizations or localauthorities.It is also equally applicable to off?the?shelf applicationsthat incorporate a biometric system such as a time andattendance system, as well as bespoke applicationswhere the biometric system requires integration withother systems.
