Where an application date other thanimmediate is applicable to an amendment the date of application (DOA) is indicated by themarginal bar against the part affected.Replace the existing third paragraph by the following:This Standard is an adoption with national modifications and contains the full text of the fourthedition of IEC 60335-2-35 Ed 4.0, Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety - Part2-35: Particular requirements for instantaneous water heaters including its amendment 1(2006) along with corrigendum 1 to edition 4.1 (2007-04) and has been varied as indicated totake account of Australian and New Zealand conditions. It is to be used in conjunction withthe latest edition of AS/NZS 60335.1, Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety -Part 1: General requirements and its Amendments. It was established on the basis of AS/NZS60335.1:2002In the existing sixth paragraph replace IEC 60335-2-35 by IEC 60335-2-35 Ed 4.1In the existing twelfth and thirteenth paragraphs replace Ed 4.0 by Ed 4.1.
