適用范圍：Covers flexible metallic hose having a nominal inside diameter of not more than 4 inches intended for use in piping systems carrying compressed gases, such as anhydrous ammonia, and flammable and combustible gases and liquids, at pressures not exceeding 500 psig (3.45 Mpa) and temperatures not greater than 450oF (232oC) nor lower than minus 40oF (minus 40oC). This standard was originally listed for public review in the October 9, 1998 issue of Standards Action. It is being resubmitted due to substantive changes in the text, which are listed here in their entirety. 1.3.1 Flexible metal hose is not considered a substitute for standard pipe or tubing and its use should be confined to applications where flexible connections cannot be avoided. It should not be subjected to torsional, tensile, or excessive bending stresses and should be protected against mechanical injury. 1.4.1 This standard does not apply to connectors used in natural gas processing plants, refineries, petrochemical plants, marine terminals or gasoline service stations. 2.1.2 A component need not comply with a specific requirement that: a) Involves a feature or characteristic not needed in the application of the component in the product covered by this standard, or b) Is superseded by a requirement in this standard. 12.3 The burner is to be constructed of 3/4 inch Schedule 40 iron pipe (Standard for Welded and Seamless Wrought Steel Pipe, ANSI/ASME B36.110M-1995) having a straight line of 1/16 inch (1.6 mm) drilled ports, on 2 inch (12.7 mm) centers, located along the top for a distance of 8 inches (203 mm). A gas pressure equal to 1 inch (25.4 mm) water column is to be maintained in the pipe when gas equivalent to natural gas having approximately 1000 Btu per cubic foot (37.3 MJ/m3) is employed.
