適用范圍：This International Standard specifies a test pro-cedure to determine the damping characteristic of trailer oscillation excited by a defined steering im-pulse.The passenger car/trailer combination is initially driven in a straight line and its response to a speci-fied steering input is then measured. After applying the steering input, the steering-wheel is held fixed in the straight ahead position. Tests are conducted at several constant speeds, which shall be in-creased in discrete intervals.Thus it is necessary to measure:— steering-wheel angle;— forward velocity;— lateral acceleration of the trailer;— articulation angle between towing vehicle and trailer.It is desirable to measure:— yaw velocity of the towing vehicle:— yaw velocity of the trailer.NOTE 1 These variables are not intended to comprise a complete list.This International Standard applies to passenger car/trailer combinations, vehicles as defined in ISO 3833.If non-periodic instability is of interest, a steady-state circular test may be perfoimed in accordance with annex C.
