適用范圍：This standard lays down the nominal dimension relating to rotary shaft lip type seals suitable for shafts from 6 to 400 mm diameter and accompanying housing from 16 to 440 mm. Seals of this type are not normally suitable for high pressure. This standard also includes dimensional limits for the shafts and housings to assure interchangeability of seals made by different seal manufacturers. The recommended tolerances are also given for the principal seal dimensions. The six types of seals covered by this standard are: Type 1: rubber coverd; Type 2: metal cased; Type 3: assembled; Type 4; rubber covered with minor lip; Type 5: metal cased with minor lip; Type 6: Assembled with minor lip. The annex includes a recommended form for reaching agreement between purchaser and manufacturer. This standard only applies to the dimensional criteria of products manufactured in conformance with this standard. It does not apply to their functional characteristics.
