適用范圍： This standard covers the salt-fog and the solid-layer methods for artificial pollution tests on porcelain insulators without surface treatments (for example, greasing ) for nominal valtages greater than 1 kV which are used outdoors and exposed to polluted atmospheres.Note 1 — These test methods are so far limited to insulators for systems with highest voltage not greater than 765 kV. Further experience is needed if the test methods are to be applied to higher system voltages.Note 2 — These test methods are also at present limited to ac voltage and are intended to check the performance of insulators under normal operating conditions. Tests with dc voltage, switching impulses and short duration overvoltages may be considered in the future.
