適用范圍：1.1 This Standard prescribes the methods of sampling and test which are common to several Pakistan Standard Specifications for Paper, Board and allied substances.1.2 Besides giving the definitions of the necessary terms as used in the Industry and Trade and specifying the methods of sampling and conditioning, the following methods of testing are included in this Standard :—1.2.1 Determination of Machine Direction and Cross Direction.1.2.2 Determination of Wire Side and Felt Side.1.2.3 Determination of Substance or Basis Weight.1.2.4 Determination of Thickness and Bulk.1.2.5 Determination of Bursting Strength and Burst Factor.1.2.6 Determination of Tearing Strength and Tear Factor.1.2.7 Determination of Tensile Strength, Breaking Length and Stretch.1.2$ Determination of Folding Endurance.1.2.9 Determination of Stiffness and Stiffness Factor.1.2.10 Determination of Moisture Content.1.2.11 Determination of Ash Content.1.2.12 Determination of pH value.1.2.13 Cobb Sizing Test.1.2.14 Determination of Pick Resistance (Wax Test).1.2.15 Determination of Brightness.1.2.16 Determination of Opacity.1.2.17 Determination of Gloss.1.3 These testing methods which are uncommon and restricted to a few qualities only, shall continue to appear with the respective standards, and when a sufficient number of such methods are collected they may be issued as the second part of this standard.
