適用范圍：This standard describes the subdivision of fibre optic branching devices into families, each of which will be treated in a separate sectional specification. This generic specification sets the framework for the subdivision of the device types, the parameters to be tested, and test methods which are common to several types of devices.In this standard the devices considered have all of the following general features:- The devices are passive in that they contain no optoelectronic or other transducing elements.- Fibre optic branching devices are devices which have three or more ports for the ingress and/or egress of light and operate to share light among these ports in a predetermined fashion.- The fibre optic branching devices have ports which are optical fibres or optical fibre connectors exclusively.
