適用范圍：1.1.1 This code covers minimum construction requirements for the design, fabrication, inspec-tion, testing and certification of fusion welded unfired pressure vessels in ferrous as well as in non-ferrous metals.1.1.1.1 This code does not include thefollowing:a) Vessels designed for pressure exceeding 200 kgf/cm2;b) When the ratio of outside to inside dia ( Do/D1 ) of the shell exceeds 1.5;c) Hot water supply storage tanks heated by steam or any other indirect means when none of the following limitations is exceeded:1) a heat input of 50 000 kcal/h,2) water temperature of 110°C,3) a nominal water capacity of 500 litres;d) Vessels having an internal operating pres-sure not exceeding 1 kgf/cm2 with no limi-tations on size;e) Vessels having an internal diameter not exceeding 150 mm with no limitations on pressure;f) Steam boilers, steam' and feed pipes and their fittings coming under the purview of Indian Boilers Act, 1923, or any revision thereon;g) Vessels in which internal pressure is due solely to the static head of liquid;h) Vessels with a nominal water capacity of 500 litres or less for containing water under pressure including those containing air, the compression of which serves only as a cushion;j) Vessels for nuclear energy application; andk) Vessels, receivers and tanks covered by other Indian Standards.1.1.1.2 Nothing in this standard is intended to contravene any provision of the Indian Factories Act, 1948; Indian Boilers Act, 1923; Gas Cylinder Rules, 1940 or any regulations made thereunder.1.1.2 Fabrication by any fusion welding process is acceptable provided that the requirements of the procedure qualification tests ( see 7.1) are met and are acceptable to the inspecting authority.
