適用范圍：This is a tentative standard pending final results of ISO work on hel-mets. The general features of this standard are the same as those set forth in the proposal for the ISO Recommendation.Much of the information in this tentative standard deals with require-ments for the protective functioning of the helmet. Maximum freedom for structural design is thus provided within the framework of the se r equirements.The primary function of the helmets covered by this standard is to prevent risk of head injuries to the drivers of motor cycles, motorized bicycles and automobiles and their passengers in the event of an acci-dent. The helmets can also be used in other similar risk situations.Test methods for protective helmets are covered in Swedish standard SIS 88 24 32.
