Where an applicationdate other than immediate is applicable to an amendment the date of application (DOA) isindicated by the marginal bar against the part affected.Replace the fourth paragraph by the following:This Standard is an adoption with national modifications and contains the full text of the fifthedition of IEC 60335-2-9, Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety – Part 2-9:Particular requirements for grills, toasters and similar portable cooking appliances includingits amendment 1 and amendment 2 and has been varied as indicated to take account ofAustralian and New Zealand conditions. It is to be used in conjunction with the latest editionof AS/NZS 60335.1, Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety – Part 1: Generalrequirements and its Amendments. It was established on the basis of AS/NZS 60335.1:2002.
