適用范圍：This part of ISO 8130 specifies a method for thedetermination of the density of coating powdersusing a gas comparison pyknometer. It can be usedfor all types of coating powder, is simple to carry out,but requires more expensive instrumentation thanis often used for density determinations.The density of coating powders can also bedetermined using the liquid displacementpyknometer method described in ISO 8130-3. Theapparatus is relatively inexpensive, but the liquiddisplacement pyknometer method is liable to giveerroneous results, particularly if the powder swellsin contact with the displacement liquid used or thedisplacement liquid does not totally displace the airbetween the powder particles. The liquiddisplacement method is much slower in execution,less accurate and is only to be used if it can be shownthat the same results will be obtained as for the gascomparison pyknometer method.
