適用范圍：This part of ISO 3386 specifies a method for thedetermination of the compression stress-straincharacteristics of flexible cellular polymericmaterials of density greater than 250 kg/m3.The compression stress-strain characteristic is ameasure of the load-bearing properties of thematerial, though not necessarily of its capacity tosustain a long-term load.The compression stress-strain characteristic differsfrom the indentation hardness characteristics(as determined in accordance with ISO 2439) whichare known to be influenced by the thickness and thetensile properties of the flexible cellular materialunder test, the shape of the compression plate, andthe shape and size of the test piece.ISO 3386-1 specifies a method for low-densityflexible materials, and differs from Part 2 in thefollowing ways:- Part 1 is concerned with materials of densityup to 250 kg/m3, whilst Part 2 is mainlyconcerned with materials of densityabove 250 kg/m3;- compression stress values have been deletedfrom Part 2;- Part 2 does not allow the use of a cylindricaltest piece.This part of ISO 3386 is a general method for testingdenser flexible cellular materials(i.e. expanded cellular rubbers), measurementsbeing made on one of more points on the steeplyrising part of the stress-strain curve. The shapefactor of the test piece is important and comparativetest results can only be obtained on test pieceshaving the same shape factor.
